TALENT FAQ
Do I owe a fee to FILTER for finding work for me?
Never. Our clients pay the fees, not you.

Do I get to choose my assignments?
Yes. We specialize in finding the right jobs for our qualified talent.

How long do contract assignments last?
The amount of time depends on the client's needs and your desires. Assignments can be for only a few days, weeks, months - even years.

Can I continue my freelance business if I accept an FILTER contract position?
Yes. We just ask that you keep us informed on your availability.

When I'm working for a FILTER client, who's my employer?
FILTER is your legal employer. Issues including negotiation, benefits, and performance reviews are handled through FILTER.

How often do I get paid for contract work?
FILTER paydays are every two weeks on Fridays.

When I feel that I need to raise my pay rate, whom do I ask?
Talk to your Talent Manager. FILTER will negotiate pay rates on your behalf.

What if I don't like an assignment I've started?
Our Talent Managers are industry professionals, who, through extensive interviewing and mentoring get to know our candidates. However, in some cases, circumstances arise that cannot be foreseen. In these rare instances we will help find a mutually beneficial situation.

What if a company wants to hire me full time?
Great! We are always pleased when we've made a perfect match and will facilitate any changes or needs you may have to transition to the clients payroll.

As an independent contractor, can FILTER find me project work?
Yes. FILTER/STUDIOS, our in-house project management, design and production group often assigns projects, or parts of projects, to freelancers who are in business for themselves.
