Marketing + Communications: Account Director
Bay Area | Client Site | Long Term | Direct Hire
FILTER is seeking an Account Director with a minimum of 5 years experience in marketing communication management within the life sciences industry, or equivalent experiences in sales of complex scientific products and services. We have a fulltime, direct hire opportunity for an Account Director with a company located in the East Bay.
We’re looking for someone who has a thorough understanding of the life sciences market and is well-versed in all aspects of marketing. Candidates with a strong B2B tech background may be considered as well.
The Account Director will be responsible for interfacing with clients and overseeing campaigns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position, as well as outstanding organizational skills. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Establish credibility within the client as the marketing expert
- Build a network of contacts with the client's organization
- Find opportunities for the company to take on additional projects with the client
- Present pricing and schedules
- Manage client to keep on-task and on-time
- Handle disputes
- Secure and measure client satisfaction and growth of work
- Represent company as the thought leaders in marketing at every interaction
- Collaborate with Account Planner to arrive at winning campaign strategies
- Write briefs and communicate brief to internal teams
- Oversee and approve campaign elements and ensure all work prior to client visibility is proofed
- Review project and campaign progress on a weekly basis to ensure successful implementation
- Measure and report on the impact of the campaign for the client
SKILLS YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelors degree, preferably in a scientific field
- Post-bachelor’s studies in sciences, marketing, or business management preferred
- 5-8 years experience in marketing communication management within the life sciences industry, or equivalent experience in sales of complex scientific products and services
- Excellent writing skills
- Proven track record successfully managing client relationships and growing accounts
- Ability to accurately estimate projects and timelines
- Ability to collaborate, manage internal teams and meet deadlines
- Driven to make a strong impact in a small and rapidly growing consulting environment
- Strong level of initiative and entrepreneurial drive to contribute to a highly focused environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communications skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- A high level of intelligence with an ability to think strategically and act tactfully
- Organized, disciplined and flexible
