Marketing + Communications: Account Planner

Bay Area | Client Site | Long Term | Direct Hire

FILTER has a great fulltime opportunity for an Account Planner with extensive experience in B2B technology marketing. This position is with a leading life-science marketing firm in the East Bay. The Account Planner will develop marketing programs that resonate with the intended audience while representing a scientific point of view. Acting as the lead strategist, the Account Planner will offer insight and actionable plans to solve business challenges.

Our ideal applicant has at least 5 years of experience as a marketing strategist or account planner, including experience in B2B tech marketing. An understanding of audience research methodologies and a proven record of success developing and implementing marketing strategies is crucial for landing this position.

This position is in East Bay and in addition to a great and lively office environment, both BART and the freeway are easily accessible.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Collaborate with Account Director to craft winning marketing strategies for clients
• Conduct client interviews to uncover critical facets of the marketing challenge
• Perform primary research to gain actionable insights into the target audience and test marketing hypotheses
• Analyze secondary research for relevant insights
• Lead internal team in developing positioning & messaging platforms, and tactical communication plans
• Sell strategic recommendations to client insights
• Support the creative development of campaign through consultation with creative teams

SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

• 5 + years experience as marketing strategist or account planner
• Deep experience with the world of B2B tech marketing
• Fluency in audience research methodologies
• Proven record of success developing and implement marketing strategies
